'Recent postings' will help you surface those favorites who have recently posted new content. Wanting to engage with the folks on your list is great, but if they have not posted in a long time, you're probably better off reaching out via DMs.
Filtering by 'recent interactions' on the other hand will allow you to hide users you have already engaged with recently. This way you can make sure, you talk to all the people on your list and not just the same few people every day.
